So you are already on the hunt for some Here to Slay expansions. That’s good, it probably means you loved the game!
As I wrote in my Here to Slay review, the base game has already pretty good replayability and you can have some good fun for a long time.
If you add the expansions though, the game almost reaches another level of fun and complexity, since some of the new cards add unique and quite interesting mechanics.
Let’s find out what the Here to Slay expansions are and which ones are worth the purchase. Some of them are crazy expensive!

Here to Slay Expansions
At the moment of writing this article, the official expansions for the base game are 2:
- Warriors & Druids expansion pack.
- Berserkers & Necromancers expansion pack.
Then there’s a festive-themed expansion:
- Here to Sleigh expansion pack.
And finally, there are 2 Kickstarter-exclusive expansions:
- Monster Expansion
- Dragon Sorcerer Expansion
Warriors & Druids Expansion
Warriors & Druids expansion is the first official add-on pack released in 2020 and it’s one of those I own.
It introduces new party leaders, heroes, and ferocious monsters, as well as new items and special challenge cards.
Inside the Box
- 2 new Party Leaders: The Piercing Howl (Warrior) and The Noble Shaman (Druid).
- 2 new Monsters: Feral Dragon and Muscipula Rex.
- 16 new Heroes, 8 for each class.
- 5 new Items and 2 new Cursed Items cards.
- 4 new Modifiers cards.
- 2 new Magic cards.
- 2 new Challenge cards.

An exciting expansion that adds a few more hours of fun and a lot more replayability to an already good board game in its base version.
The Warrior and the Druid are very powerful classes and they introduce new effects and skills.
Given what’s written above and its very cheap price tag, I think this expansion is totally worth it.

Berserkers and Necromancers Expansion
Berserkers & Necromancers expansion is the second official add-on pack released in 2021 and also one of the two expansions I own.
Similarly to the Warriors & Druids pack, it introduces new party leaders, heroes, and ferocious monsters, as well as new items and special challenge cards.
Inside the Box
- 2 new Party Leaders: The Raging Manticore (Berserker) and The Gnawing Dread (Necromancer).
- 2 new Monsters: Doombringer and Reptilian Ripper.
- 16 new Heroes, 8 for each class.
- 5 new Items and 2 new Cursed Items cards.
- 2 new Modifiers cards.
- 4 new Magic cards.
- 2 new Challenge cards.

Nothing too specific that I haven’t already written for the previous expansion, as this pack adds more fun and a lot more replayability too to the game.
The new classes introduce new effects and skills, and the Necromancer will probably become one of your favourite Party leaders thanks to his very powerful power.
For the same reasons written before, I think this expansion is totally worth it.

Here to Sleigh Expansion
Here to Sleigh is the latest expansion released in 2022 and it features cards dressed in a Christmas theme.
This add-on introduces new card types, holiday artwork, and a brand new win condition that says whoever collects 3 Good Gift cards wins the game.
Inside the Box
- 4 Holiday Overlay cards for your Party Leaders.
- 12 new Heroes, 2 for each class of the base game.
- 2 new Items.
- 15 new Gift cards.
- 2 new Challenge cards.

Here to Sleigh is the only expansion that adds new gameplay mechanics to the game and this is something I value immensely.
On the other hand, I’m not too impressed with this expansion for a few reasons:
First of all, you can only play up to 4 players instead of 6, like the base game.
I know you wouldn’t play with 6 players anyway, but to me, the decision to reduce the number of max players doesn’t make any sense.
There aren’t any new Party Leaders or Monsters, which is kind of the reason why I personally bought the 2 expansions mentioned earlier in the list.
Last but not least, I’m not particularly in love with any Christmas-themed games and this is no exception.
Not enough value to justify the purchase, to me this is a 100% skip.

Monster Expansion
The Monster expansion is a Kickstarter-exclusive pack released back in 2020.
As the name suggests, it introduces new Monsters that you can add to your base game.
Inside the Box
- 13 new Monsters.
Buy it or skip it? SKIP IT!
If you didn’t pledge back then, forget to put your hands on this expansion for a reasonable price, if you’re lucky enough to find someone who wants to sell it.
To me, this is a skip.
Dragon Sorcerer Expansion
The Dragon Sorcerer expansion is another Kickstarter-exclusive pack released back in 2020.
This add-on introduces a new party leader, a new monster and heroes, as well as new items and special challenge cards.
Inside the Box
- 1 new Party Leader: The Fearless Flame (Sorcerer).
- 1 new Monster: Calamity Mongrel.
- 9 new Heroes.
- 1 new Item card.
- 2 new Modifiers cards.
- 1 new Magic card.
- 1 new Challenge card.
Buy it or skip it? SKIP IT!
Honestly, I would love to have this expansion in my collection; the new Party Leader looks awesome and I love the theme that revolves around Dragons, so cool!
But, I didn’t pledge when it was released and therefore my opinion is kind of similar to the one I wrote for the Monster expansion.
The price is just too high to justify the purchase, so it’s a skip.
